ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) – Michigan wide receiver Darryl Stonum has received a date for an evidentiary hearing on misdemeanor charges he operated a vehicle while intoxicated and drove with a suspended license.
Stonum was in Judge Julie Creal’s courtroom Friday morning when the hearing date was set for June 3. He was arrested May 6 and has pleaded not guilty to both charges. His attorney, Doug Lewis, declined to comment.
When Stonum was a freshman in 2008, he was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. He ended up in the Washtenaw County jail from June 4-7 last year because he didn’t comply with terms of his probation.
