BOISE, Idaho (AP) -Boise State coach Chris Petersen and his wife, Barbara, are chipping in $150,000 to help build a new campus home for business and economic studies.
The university announced the donation Tuesday as part of its fundraising campaign for a new College of Business and Economics. Designers envision the $35 million building as the western gateway to the downtown Boise campus.
Petersen is in his fourth year as head coach of the Broncos and is Idaho’s highest paid public employee. He is in the third year of a five-year contract, and is expected to make $1.1 million in 2009.
The donation helps meet a matching campaign led by the Micron Technology Foundation, which pledged $12.5 million toward the new building in 2007.
