ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -Central Florida cornerback Johnell Neal was injured during a shooting in his hometown of Baton Rouge, La.
His condition wasn't immediately clear, the university said. Coach George O'Leary said he spoke with Neal and the player's mother.
A phone message left with Baton Rouge police was not immediately returned Friday.
Neal graduated from UCF last week and was expected to start work on another bachelor's degree this summer.
