COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – While spring practice drones on at Ohio State, the race to be the starting quarterback is heating up.
With three-year starter Terrelle Pryor sidelined for the spring after surgery and also facing a five-game suspension this fall, the Buckeyes are looking at four candidates to take his spot until he plays in his first game in October.
Joe Bauserman, Kenny Guiton, Taylor Graham and Braxton Miller are sharing the snaps during spring workouts. Each has strengths and weaknesses that the coaching staff is analyzing each day.
But coach Jim Tressel, also suspended for those first five games this fall, doesn’t think any starter will be decided before the team resumes workouts in August.
