BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -LSU defensive back Phelon Jones has decided to transfer.
Coach Les Miles made the announcement on Friday, but did not say where Jones was going.
Jones, redshirt freshman last season, will finish out the spring semester at LSU before transferring.
Jones signed with LSU in February 2007 out of Mobile, Ala.
In 2008, Jones played in nine games with two starts. He finished with 15 total tackles, which included a career-best six stops in wins over Troy and North Texas.
