CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) – Marvin Austin, Greg Little and Robert Quinn were back on the practice field with their North Carolina teammates for one day.
The three participated in the school’s workouts for pro scouts Thursday after missing all of last season due to an NCAA investigation into improper benefits and academic misconduct in the football program.
The NCAA ruled Quinn and Little permanently ineligible, saying they received travel accommodations and jewelry then lied about it to investigators. The school dismissed Austin from the team after the NCAA provided preliminary information that he had received double the benefits furnished to Quinn and Little.
Little admits making mistakes and says he appreciated being allowed to participate in the workouts.
