SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) -Greg Paulus is ready for a new frontier.
The 23-year-old Paulus, who quarterbacked Syracuse to a 4-8 record last season after playing four years at point guard for the Duke basketball team, is going to work out on pro day in the Carrier Dome on Thursday, hoping for a shot at the NFL.
In his one year playing for the Orange, Paulus started all 12 games and set school records with 193 completions and a 67.7 completion percentage.
Paulus says he’s been working out with Syracuse strength and conditioning coach Will Hicks and has boosted his weight to 204 pounds, up from about 180 when he arrived on campus.
