IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) -University of Iowa officials say they have reached a new seven-year contract with football coach Kirk Ferentz that includes the same salary and bonus structures as his previous contract.
Athletic director Gary Barta made the announcement on Thursday. The contract will run through the 2015 season. Last year, Ferentz's average annual salary was $2.84 million.
Ferentz is 82-74 in 10 seasons at Iowa, which went 9-4 last season.
