BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) – With the likes of running back Leornard Fournette and receiver Malachi Dupre joining LSU’s 22-player recruiting class for 2014, coach Les Miles says the Tigers have addressed voids created by some top players’ early departures for the NFL.
Fournette and Dupre are each rated among the best in the nation at their positions and could fill positions of immediate need.
The Tigers lost two of their top three running backs and their top three wide receivers to graduation or the NFL draft after last season.
Fournette is the No. 1 high school prospect in the country according to the recruiting service Scout.com.
He and Dupre are among four players rated among the best at their positions, along with safety Jamal Adams and middle linebacker Clifton Garrett.
