LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) – Though coach Bo Pelini hasn’t announced the resignation or firing of any offensive assistants, a job posting on the University of Nebraska’s website seeks one.
The job listed Friday seeks someone “responsible for offensive game preparation, on-field strategies and game tactics,” among other things.
Offensive coordinator Shawn Watson and receivers coach Ted Gilmore didn’t attend the annual signing-day banquet in Omaha on Wednesday and Pelini announced secondary coach Marvin Sanders’ resignation in a statement Thursday.
Pelini, Watson and Gilmore did not immediately respond to phone messages.
Nebraska finished 10-4 but lost three of its last four games. The offense scored one touchdown in the last six quarters.
