ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) – Syracuse running back Delone Carter ran for a touchdown and was selected the offensive MVP in the East’s 25-8 victory over the West on Saturday in the East-West Shrine Game.
The East dominated the yearly showcase for college seniors looking to impress NFL scouts, scoring 19 of its points in the first half and forcing three fumbles.
Richmond defensive tackle Martin Parker had a pair of sacks and a forced fumble to take defensive MVP honors for the East. The East had two defensive scores in the game, a team safety and fumble recovery in the end zone by North Carolina defensive tackle Marvin Austin.
