ELON, N.C. (AP) -Elon coach Pete Lembo agreed to a contract extension Monday that runs through the 2012 season.
Lembo was the Southern Conference coach of the year after finishing 7-4 this season, the school's first winning season since 2000. He is 12-10 in two seasons with the Phoenix.
``We are very appreciative of what Coach Lembo has done in his short time at Elon,'' athletic director Dave Blank said.
