A person with knowledge of the selection process has told The Associated Press that the Miami Hurricanes are hiring Seattle Seahawks quarterbacks coach Jedd Fisch as their offensive coordinator.
Fisch has accepted the job, and the hiring could be formally cleared by university officials Thursday or Friday, said the person, speaking on condition of anonymity because the process is not “completely finalized.”
Fisch will remain with the Seahawks for the remainder of their playoff run.
At Miami, he will replace Mark Whipple, who spent two seasons with the Hurricanes. He was not retained by new Miami coach Al Golden.
