TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Arizona State coach Todd Graham has added former Texas Tech interim coach Chris Thomsen to his staff.
Graham announced Friday that Thomsen will take over as the Sun Devils' running backs coach after Larry Porter left to take the same position at Texas.
Graham hired Thomsen as an assistant coach in December 2011, but he left in February to become the offensive line coach at Texas Tech. Thomsen was named the interim coach two days after Tommy Tuberville left Lubbock to become the head coach at Cincinnati.
Thomsen led the Red Raiders to a 34-31 win over Minnesota in the Meineke Car Care Bowl last month.
