MIAMI (AP) – No one seems to doubt Andrew Luck is ready for the NFL. Right now he’s just trying to get ready for Virginia Tech.
Stanford’s sophomore quarterback takes the national stage Monday in the Orange Bowl, when No. 5 Stanford (11-1) faces the No. 12-ranked Hokies (11-2). It could be Luck’s final college game – he’s touted as the likely No. 1 overall draft pick in April if he turns pro.
Luck says he’ll wait until after the game to weigh his options because he wants to focus on the Orange Bowl, which matches two teams climbing in the polls since early in the season.
Virginia Tech opened with two losses, then regrouped and went undefeated in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Stanford lost in October to Oregon, then swept its past seven games.
