NEW ORLEANS, LA (The Spread) – The first of two bowl games on Saturday is the New Orleans Bowl which features East Carolina taking on Louisiana-Lafayette at Noon ET on ESPN.

This season’s team has been led by quarterback Terrance Broadway, who is a dual-threat player. Broadway has thrown for 2,526 yards and 16 touchdowns while rushing for 661 yards and eight touchdowns.

East Carolina ended its season on a three-game winning streak as well. The Pirates finished 7-1 in Conference USA play, but were unable to reach the championship game due to a loss to Central Florida, 40-20. All four of ECU’s losses this season came by at least 20 points. On the season, East Carolina is averaging 31.3 points per game, while the defense is giving up 30.7 points per contest. The team is being led by quarterback Shane Carden, who has thrown for 2,838 yards and 21 touchdowns, while running back Vintavious Cooper has rushed for 1,030 yards and seven scores.
