Oklahoma sophomore WR Trejan Bridges has been reinstated and will play in the Big 12 Championship game this Saturday. Bridges (6’1/183) was suspended last year, along with Rhamondre Stevenson and Ronnie Perkins, before their Peach Bowl tilt against Baylor. While Perkins and Stevenson were suspended by the school and since reinstated, it appears Bridges’ punishment had to be cleared with the NCAA before he could return. and defensive lineman Ronnie Perkins. A four-star commit, Bridges (6’1/183) had not been a big part of the offense as a freshman, tallying seven receptions for 82 yards and two scores. He will make his first appearance in over a year this Saturday against Iowa State in the Big 12 Championship.
Iowa State Cyclones Game Notes
Iowa State sophomore RB Breece Hall carried 22 times for 97 yards and a touchdown while also catching three passes for 56 yards and a touchdown in a 42-6 victory over West Virginia on Saturday. Hall (6’1/215) was absolutely dominant once again as the sophomore racked up 153 total yards while scoring his 16th and 17th touchdowns of the year in only ten games played. The surefire first-team All-Big 12 selection ends the year with 1,260 rushing yards and a 6.3 YPC as the bell cow of a potent ISU offense. He accrued eight 100-yard rushing performances thus far, narrowly missing his ninth by three yards against the Mountaineers. He will once again lead the Iowa State rushing attack against Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game on December 19.
Oklahoma vs. Iowa State Betting Prediction
The Sooners are winless against the spread in their last five meetings with the Cyclones and are just 5-12 against the number in their last 17 neutral site games. Oklahoma is also 4-11 against the number in its 15 neutral site games as a favorite, is 2-5 against the spread in its last seven games coming off a loss and has failed to cover in five of its last seven games after allowing less than 20 points in its previous contest.
On the other side, the Cyclones are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games overall, are 20-8-1 against the number in their last 29 games as an underdog and are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games coming off a win.
