CHARLOTTE, NC (The Spread) – No. 1 Florida State looks to avoid a big upset when it takes on No. 20 Duke in the 2013 ACC Championship Game at 8PM ET on ABC.

Florida State is 12-0 on the season and 10-2 against the spread while Duke is 10-2 overall and 10-2 against the spread. Florida State hasn’t lost to Duke in over a decade.

Trends show that Florida State has covered in five straight meetings with Duke. FSU is also 11-2-1 against the spread in its last 14 games at a neutral site.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Florida State is the clear favorite in the game, as the Seminoles have odds of -29 points against Duke. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 62 points (View Matchup). The opening odds for this game had FSU favored by 29. The spread moved down to 28.5 before bumping back up to 29. The over/under total opened at 61.5 points and climbed to 62.5 before falling back to 62.

Florida State is coming off a 37-7 win at Florida last week and a win on Saturday will put FSU in the BCS Championship Game. Florida State has won its last eight games by at least 27 points and its smallest margin of victory this season has been 14 points. FSU is averaging 53.7 points per game on offense while giving up just 11 points per game, which is best in the nation. Jameis Winston has thrown for 3,490 yards and 35 touchdowns to lead the team while Devonta Freeman has rushed for 852 yards and 12 scores.

Duke is coming off a 27-25 win over North Carolina last week. The Blue Devils have now won eight straight to make this improbable run to the ACC Championship Game. Duke is averaging 33.7 points per game on offense while the defense is giving up just 23 points per game. Anthony Boone has thrown for 1,695 yards and 10 touchdowns to lead the offense while Jamison Crowder has caught 88 passes for 1,131 yards and seven touchdowns.

In terms of Injuries, Florida State defensive back Tyler Hunter (neck) is questionable for the game. Duke running back Eric Adams (upper body) is also listed as questionable.

The Public Bets for this game are currently backing Duke, as the Blue Devils are getting 57% of the wagers with odds of +29 points at Florida State on Saturday.
