STANFORD, CA (The Spread) – Thanks to a couple of huge upsets, Stanford has new life when it comes to its national title hopes but can’t stumble tonight versus Notre Dame.

Odds: Oddsmakers have installed Stanford as a 7-point favorite over Notre Dame, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 58.5 for tonight’s game. The Fighting Irish are 8-3 overall and 3-1 on the road, while the Cardinal are 10-1 overall and 5-1 at home.

Line Movement: Stanford opened as a 7-point favorite and that is where the line currently sits at most offshore and Vegas sports books, although the Cardinal is –9 at the Caesars in Vegas. The over/under total is up slightly from 58 to 58.5.

College Football Free Pick: Take the Cardinal. According to latest college football trends, the Fighting Irish are 5-1 against the spread in their last six road games against Stanford and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 meetings overall versus the Cardinal. The road team is also 4-1 against the number in their last five meetings overall but Notre Dame couldn’t contain Stanford’s offense last year at home and won’t be able to do it this year on the road. Andrew Luck did throw two interceptions in last year’s 37-14 victory, but expect him to play better with the Cardinal’s national title hopes still on the line.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 13 FREE PICK: STANFORD CARDINAL –7
