Oklahoma cuts it close with Baylor
The Oklahoma Sooners overcame a big deficit in the first half to defeat Baylor last week, 34-31 on the road. The Sooners have won their last two games to move to 9-1 on the season, 6-1 in the Big 12, 4-6 against the spread and 5-4-1 with the over.
Oklahoma is the nation’s top-gaining offense, putting up 581.1 yards per game while posting 47 points per outing. The Sooners are giving up 25.6 points and 350.3 yards per game on defense. Jalen Hurts is having a Heisman campaign, putting up 3,039 passing yards with 28 touchdowns while rushing for 983 yards and 15 scores. Kennedy Brooks has added 608 rushing yards and three scores while CeeDee Lamb has 44 catches for 983 yards and 13 touchdowns. Lamb is questionable to play this evening as he is dealing with a head injury.
TCU looking for an upset
The TCU Horned Frogs put an end to a 2-game losing streak last weekend when the Horned Frogs defeated Texas Tech on the road, 33-31. TCU is now 5-5 on the season, 3-4 in the Big 12, 3-7 against the spread and 7-3 with the over.
TCU is pretty steady on both sides of the ball this year. The Horned Frogs are giving up just 26.9 points and 330.6 yards per game. Offensively, TCU is putting up 32.3 points and 439.1 yards per outing. Max Duggan is leading the TCU offense with 1,868 passing yards and 15 touchdowns while rushing for 440 yards and five scores. Darius Anderson is the team’s leading rusher with 785 yards and six scores, while Jalen Reagor has 36 catches for 545 yards and five touchdowns. Trevon Moehrig is leading the defense with 51 tackles and four interceptions.
College Football Betting Trends
Oklahoma
The Sooners are 0-5-1 against the spread in their last six games in November and 1-5 ATS in their last six conference games.
TCU
The Horned Frogs are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games overall and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games in November.
Prediction:
Oklahoma has won five straight against TCU, covering the spread in the last four meetings as well. The Sooners have been flirting with disaster over the last month, as their last three games have saw them lose by seven and win two games by a combined four points. TCU hasn’t had a lot of highlights this year, but the Horned Frogs have had all but one loss come by single digits this year. Despite being outmatched on paper, TCU has been able to stick with pretty much every opponent. Given the struggles the Oklahoma defense is currently having, I like TCU to find a way to keep this game within reach.
