Michigan State is 9-1 overall, 6-0 in the Big Ten, 3-1 on the road and 6-3-1 against the spread. Northwestern is 4-6 overall, 0-6 in the Big Ten, 3-3 at home and 3-7 against the spread. Michigan State has won four of its last five meetings with Northwestern.

Michigan State is coming off a 41-28 win at Nebraska last week for the Spartans’ sixth straight win. MSU now has a two-game lead in the Big Ten Legends Division and can clinch the outright title with a win this week. MSU is now averaging 30.9 points per game on offense, while the defense is allowing just 13.2 points per game, which ranks fourth in the country. Running back Jeremy Langford is leading the offense with 926 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns, while Connor Cook has thrown for 1,683 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Northwestern is coming off a 27-19 loss to Michigan in triple overtime. The Wildcats led by three until Michigan kicked a tying field goal as time expired in regulation. Northwestern has now lost four straight games by a score, with two losses coming in overtime. Northwestern is averaging just 27.1 points per game on offense, while the defense is allowing 26.1 points per contest. Trevor Siemian has thrown for 1,502 yards and seven touchdowns this year to lead the offense while Treyvon Green has rushed for 642 yards and eight scores.
