Updated BCS Champion Odds
(The Spread) – The 12th week of the 2012 College Football Season saw two major upsets in the BCS picture. Here is a look at the updated odds to win this season’s nation title.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Alabama is once again the favorite to win, as the Crimson Tide have odds of 5/7 to win the national title. Other short odds to win are Notre Dame (3/1), Georgia (4/1) and Oregon (10/1).
Alabama is No. 2 in the BCS rankings and the AP poll thanks to losses from Oregon and Kansas State on Saturday. Alabama is 10-1 on the year and they need a win over Auburn this Saturday and a win over Georgia in the SEC Championship to punch their title game ticket.
Notre Dame is No. 1 in both the AP Poll and BCS standings. The Irish are the lone unbeaten eligible to compete for the national title. The Irish are 11-0 and a win at USC this Saturday will secure them a spot in the title game.
Georgia is No. 3 in the BCS poll and AP rankings. The Bulldogs are 10-1 on the season and they need to defeat Georgia Tech this Saturday and Alabama the following week to get to the title game.
Oregon is No. 5 in the AP Poll and the BCS rankings. The Ducks are 10-1 on the year but coming off a 17-14 overtime loss to Stanford last week. The Ducks will face Oregon State this Saturday, but need Stanford to lose to UCLA just to make the Pac-12 title game.
