Maryland vs. Nebraska Pick
Can No. 18 Nebraska impose its will on Maryland when the two meet up on Saturday at Noon ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Nebraska is favored at home, as the Cornhuskers are getting odds of -14.5 points against Maryland. The total for the game has yet to be set. These two have yet to meet since Maryland joined the Big Ten.
Nebraska is 8-2 on the season and 5-2 in the Big Ten following a 24-17 win over Minnesota last week. The Cornhuskers are now 5-3-2 against the spread. Nebraska is averaging 28.3 points and 401.5 yards per game. The Cornhuskers are putting up 186.7 yards per contest on the ground. Maryland is coming off a 62-3 loss at home to Ohio State. The Terrapins have scored just 6 points total in their last two games. They are now 5-5 overall and 2-5 in the Big Ten while going 3-7 against the spread. Maryland has failed to cover in three straight games despite being given 28 points or more in their last two. The Terps are giving up 30.7 points and 445.3 yards per contest, including 228.7 rushing yards per game. On offense, Maryland is averaging 26.7 points and 393.3 yards per contest. They are led by a run game of Ty Johnson, who has put up 656 yards and four touchdowns this season. However, he has a shoulder injury that has left him questionable to play on Saturday. Lorenzo Harrison is putting up 633 yards and five touchdowns, but he is suspended for a violation of the school’s code of conduct. Perry Hills is the team’s QB with 1,139 yards and 10 touchdowns, but he is dealing with a shoulder injury that has him questionable as well.

Maryland just doesn’t have the horses to compete with Nebraska in this one, especially with the injuries and suspensions. The Terps haven’t been able to put up much of a fight the last two weeks and I don’t see things being any different at Nebraska. Look for the Cornhuskers to win big.
