Iowa vs. Northwestern
This is going to be one of those nasty Big Ten games that is one in the trenches. Expect both teams to try and win the time of possession battle and look to play it safe. The under is 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams and 12-5 in the Wildcats’ last 17 games in November. The under is also 11-4 in the Hawkeyes last 15 games as a road favorite and is 24-8-1 in their last 33 road games. We think this will be a low scoring game that could come down to the wire and as long as the contest doesn’t go into overtime, we like the chances that the total will stay under. Our pick is the under 50.
Utah vs. Notre Dame
The line seems awfully low for how much trouble Utah’s offense could give to Notre Dame’s defense. The Utes are 5-1 against the number in their last six road games and 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The Irish, on the other hand, are 0-2-2 ATS in their last four games overall and just 3-12-2 ATS in their last 17 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game. Notre Dame is 62nd in points against and 72nd in points for, so it could have all kinds of issues trying to beat a pissed off Utah team looking to get some of its angry out following the loss to TCU. Our pick is Utah -5.
South Carolina vs. Florida
It looks like South Carolina is just in time for its late season collapse under Steve Spurrier. The Gamecocks got it handed to them last week by Arkansas and with Florida starting to find a groove, South Carolina could be in trouble again this week. They’re just 1-4 against the spread in their last five trips to Gainesville, while the home team is 6-2 against the number in the last eight meetings between these two teams. The Gators are 11-2 against the number in their last 13 games in November and are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games as a favorite. Our pick is Florida -6.5.
Oklahoma State vs. Texas
The Longhorns have had a tough year but Texas is a proud program and won’t go down without a fight this Saturday. It’s tempting to take a much better Oklahoma State team with everything to play for, but Texas has proved against Nebraska earlier this year that they can pull off an upset. The Horns are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games as an underdog and the Cowboys are just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 meetings. Our pick is Texas +5
