Auburn has been dealing with allegations of academic cheating while at Florida and improper benefits to current quarterback Cam Newton who transferred from the Gators to the Tigers and was allegedly paid money to come to Auburn over Mississippi State. Newton has thrown for 1,830 yards and 19 touchdowns and rushing for 1,146 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, making him the clear front runner for the Heisman Trophy. Newton will play despite investigations looming over Auburn.
Georgia has won four of its last five games after a 1-4 start. The Bulldogs are averaging 394.6 yards per game on offense and allowing 305.5 yards per game on defense. Aaron Murray has thrown for 2,307 yards and 18 touchdowns this season while Washaun Ealey has rushed for 589 yards and eight scores. A.J. Green has caught 32 passes for 510 yards and seven touchdowns in just six games.
Auburn receiver Deangelo Benton is questionable on Saturday with an ankle injury while Georgia split end Kris Durham is questionable with a lung issue.
