Badgers end skid
Wisconsin snapped their two-game losing streak last weekend with a 24-22 win at home over Iowa. The Badgers are now 7-2 on the season, 4-2 in the Big Ten, 5-4 against the spread and 6-3 with the under.
The Badgers are one of the top defenses in the nation, allowing only 12.6 points and 233.3 yards per game. Zack Baun is leading the defense with 46 tackles, 7.5 sacks and an interception. Offensively, Wisconsin is putting up 34.3 points and 419.2 yards per contest. Jonathan Taylor is leading the offense with 1,259 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns. Jack Coan has thrown for 1,664 passing yards and 12 touchdowns. Quintez Cephus is the team’s leading receiver with 32 catches for 504 yards and four scores.
Cornhuskers continue slide
Nebraska is coming off a 31-27 loss at Purdue two weeks ago for a third consecutive loss. The Cornhuskers are now 4-5 on the season, 2-4 in the Big Ten, 1-8 against the spread and 5-4 with the under.
The Cornhuskers are putting up 26.3 points and 410.9 yards per game on offense this season while the defense is giving up 29.1 points and 406.3 yards per outing. Adrian Martinez has thrown for 1,492 yards and seven touchdowns while rushing for 399 yards and five scores. Dedrick Mills has rushed for 398 yards and eight touchdowns while JD Spielman has 35 receptions for 689 yards and a score.
College Football Betting Trends
Wisconsin
The Badgers have hit the under in five of their last six road games and in four of their last five conference games.
Nebraska
The Cornhuskers are 5-1 with the under in their last six home games, but they have hit the over in eight of their last 10 games following a loss.
Prediction:
These two have hit the over in their last two games, but that was with a Nebraska team that had some potential. The Cornhuskers are a mess right now and are about to run into a wall in the Wisconsin defense. I could see Nebraska being held to 10 points or less once again. Wisconsin isn’t an overly powerful offense either, so I think the Badgers will have trouble carrying the total mostly on their own. I like the under to hit due to Nebraska’s offensive struggles.
College Football Week 12 Prediction: Wisconsin/Nebraska Under 51.5
