LSU Tigers
LSU redshirt junior QB Joe Burrow completed 18-of-35 passes for 184 yards and an interception in Saturday’s 29-0 loss to Alabama. The LSU defense was up to the task against Bama, so much as anybody can be up to the task when it comes to slowing down that machine, but Burrow and the offense proved rather punch-less against Nick Saban’s crew. For all of the talk of Alabama’s offensive firepower, they remain one of the best defensive teams in the country, something that was on full display against LSU. Burrow and the rest of his Tigers brethren will try to shake this one off when they take on Arkansas next weekend.
Arkansas Razorbacks
Arkansas redshirt junior QB Ty Storey completed 23-of-36 passes for 240 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions 45-31 loss to Vanderbilt on Saturday. Storey was returning from a concussion he suffered on October 13th against Ole Miss and turned in an up-and-down outing. Both of his passing touchdowns came in the fourth quarter as the Razorbacks were unable to hang around with Vanderbilt. Storey now has a 9/7 TD/INT ratio this season, fairly representative of the 2-7 Razorbacks struggles. Things aren’t going to get easier as they take on No. 4 LSU at home in two weeks.
