Virginia vs. Miami Pick

No. 16 Miami looks to get back on track on Saturday when the Hurricanes host Virginia at Noon ET from Landshark Stadium.

Bet Virginia at Miami
Miami is 6-2 on the season and 4-4 against the point spread odds. The Hurricanes lost to Clemson 40-37 on Oct. 24 and followed it up with a narrow, 28-27 over Wake Forest last week. Miami has failed to cover the point spread odds in two of four home games in 2009. Miami is 4-2 against the Cavaliers.

Virginia is 3-5 on the year and 4-3 against the spread. The Cavaliers have been up-and-down, losing their first three games before winning three straight, only to lose their last two. Two of the three wins were on the road.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made Miami 13.5-point home favorites over Virginia on Saturday afternoon. The over/under total for this game has been established at 45.

Miami has only have point spread odds over 10 points in two other games this season, but Miami has a strong passing attack, which will be facing a weak Virginia passing defense. Jacory Harris has thrown for 2,104 yards with 16 touchdowns, but has struggled in the losses, throwing four interceptions to just two touchdowns. Miami’s defense has not been stellar, but should be able to handle Virginia’s weak offense.

With the Hurricanes needing to re-establish themselves this week, look for Miami to come out motivated and jump on Virginia early. With the point spread odds less than 14 points, we will pick Miami to cover the spread and beat the Cavaliers handily. The over/under sits at 45, but in this game, we aren’t picking Virginia to contribute much to the scoring, so pick the under for Saturday.

Our College Football Week 10 Free Pick for this matchup is: MIAMI -13.5 and UNDER 45.
