TOLEDO, OH (The Spread) – The 11th week of the college football season gets started on Tuesday night when No. 23 Toledo hosts Ball State at 8PM ET on ESPN2.

Toledo is 8-1 on the season, 5-0 in the Mid-American Conference and 4-0 at home. Ball State is 6-3 on the year, 3-2 in the MAC and 3-2 on the road. Toledo is 6-3 against the spread this year while Ball State is 7-2 ATS. Toledo has won three straight in this series.

Trends show that the road team has covered the spread in the last four games of this series and the favorite has covered in four of the last five meetings. Overall, Ball State has covered in five of its last seven meetings with Toledo.

Toledo is coming off a 25-20 win at Buffalo last week. The Rockets have won eight straight since losing the season opener at Arizona. David Fluellen has rushed for 1,181 yards and 11 touchdowns this year to lead the team.

Ball State is coming off a 30-22 win at Army last week. The Cardinals have now won three straight games heading into tonight’s contest. Ball State is scoring 33.7 points per game on the season while the defense is allowing 33.3 points per contest. The Cardinals are being led this year by quarterback Keith Wenning, who has thrown for 2,425 yards and 17 touchdowns.

In terms of Injuries, Ball State running back Horactio Banks is questionable with a knee injury with center Dan Manick is doubtful with a leg injury. Toledo defensive end Christian Smith is out with a knee injury.
