Oddsmakers from online sportsbook BroburySports.com have made Oregon a 35-point favorite at home against Washington. The over/under has been set at 68.
Oregon opened as a 27.5-point favorite but that line has moved up quickly during the week as it was discovered that Washington quarterback Jake Locker would be unable to play with a rib injury. Despite that, the over/under hasn’t been adjusted since opening at 68.
Oregon has seemingly scored at will this season as they have scored a minimum of 42 points in each game. Oregon has won by at least 20 points in all but one game this season as well. The Ducks are averaging 572.9 yards per game on offense while the defense is holding opponents to 337.3 yards per game. Darron Thomas has thrown for 1,827 yards and 21 touchdowns on the season while LaMichael James has rushed for 1,210 yards and 14 scores.
The Huskies have lost two straight and three of their last four. They were shutout last week against Stanford when Locker was injured. In their wins, they have scored at least 32 points, but in all five losses, they have been held to 21 points or less. The offense is averaging 358.6 yards per game while the defense is giving up 429.8 yards per game. Locker has thrown for 1,678 yards and 14 touchdowns but Keith Price will replace him on Saturday. He has thrown for just 37 yards and one score with nine passing attempts this year.
Trends favor Oregon as the favorite is 7-0 against the spread in the last seven games of this series and Washington is 0-6 ATS in the last six meetings with Oregon.
Jake Locker is listed as doubtful, but his coach already said he will sit out against Oregon on Saturday due to injured ribs. Oregon safety Eddie Pleasant and cornerback Anthony Gildon are both questionable with respective injuries.
