Bulldogs well rested
Georgia is coming off a 21-0 win over Kentucky two weeks ago and then had a bye last weekend. The Bulldogs come into this game at 6-1 on the season, 3-1 in the SEC, 3-4 against the spread and 5-2 with the under.
The Bulldogs have been a great defensive team all year, allowing 10.6 points and 267.1 yards per game. Offensively, Georgia has been pretty solid as well. The Bulldogs are putting up 36 points and 472.9 yards per contest. D’Andre Swift is leading the team with 752 rushing yards and seven touchdowns while Jake Fromm has thrown for 1,406 yards and nine touchdowns. George Pickens is the leading receiver with 23 catches for 318 yards and two scores.
Gators take out South Carolina
The Florida Gators are coming off a 38-27 road win over South Carolina two weeks ago, bouncing back from their loss to LSU prior to that. Florida is now 7-1 on the season, 4-1 in the SEC, 5-3 against the spread and 5-3 with the under.
Florida has been a stout defense as well this season, allowing just 15.8 points and 323.4 yards per game. On offense, the Gators are putting up 32.5 points and 420 yards per outing. Kyle Trask has played well since Feleipe Franks went down with an injury. He has thrown for 1,391 yards and 14 touchdowns this year. Lamical Perine has rushed for 460 yards and four touchdowns to lead the ground attack while Kyle Pitts is the leading receiver with 35 catches for 391 yards and four touchdowns.
College Football Betting Trends
Georgia
The Bulldogs are 4-1-1 with the under in their last six SEC games and 4-1 with the under in their last five games on grass.
Florida
The Gators are 3-1-1 with the over in their last five on a neutral field and 4-1 with the over in their last five games in November.
Prediction:
These two are 5-2-1 with the under in their last eight meetings. The total is being set low for a game that has two really good defensive teams meeting, but there always seems to be some big plays that can come with rivalry games. The Georgia defense has been a constant throughout the season, but the Georgia offense has started to tail off. The Bulldogs have scored 23 or less in three of their last four and facing a pretty solid Florida defense. The Gators have given up more points than Georgia, but still have risen to the occasion in most games. I think despite the low total, the under will hit here. Georgia isn’t going to give up much to the Gators and I think Florida’s defense will step up in return.
