UCF bounces back
The Knights are coming off a win this weekend when they defeated ECU to avoid a third loss in four games. UCF is now 5-2 on the season, 2-1 in the AAC, 3-4 against the spread and 4-3 with the over.
UCF has one of the top offenses in the nation, averaging 44.3 points and 553.9 yards per game. Defensively, the Knights are giving up 21.7 points and 349.7 yards per game. Dillon Gabriel has thrown for 2,000 yards and 17 touchdowns to lead the offense while Gabriel Davis has 47 catches for 833 yards and 10 touchdowns. Greg McCrae has rushed for a team-high 401 yards and six scores. Four different players have over 300 rushing yards this season, but McCrae is out with a knee injury and Adrian Killins Jr. is questionable with an undisclosed injury.
Owls coming off loss
Temple is coming off its first conference loss, 45-21 at SMU last weekend. That put an end to a three-game win streak for the Owls. Temple is now 5-2 on the season, 2-1 in the AAC, 4-3 against the spread and 4-3 with the over.
The Owls have been middle of the road on offense and defense. The offense averages just 28.6 points and 422.1 yards per game, while the defense is giving up 22.7 points and 373 yards per outing. Re’Mahn Davis has rushed for 629 yards and five touchdowns to lead the offense while Anthony Russo has thrown for 1,674 yards and 14 scores. Branden Mack is the leading receiver with 38 catches for 525 yards and four scores. Ifeanyi Maijeh is leading the defense with 35 tackles and six sacks.
College Football Betting Trends
UCF
The Knights are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 against a winning team and 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games on grass.
Temple
The Owls have covered in five straight following a failed cover and in four straight home games.
Prediction:
UCF has won two straight in this series and covered the spread in four of their last five against the Owls. UCF hasn’t been its usual self this season, as they have dropped a few games. It’s tough to maintain perfection, but the Knights have had their two losses come by just four points. Temple, on the other hand has been outmatched by Buffalo and SMU. The Knights still have a lot of offensive talent and can be very explosive. Temple can’t quite say the same thing. I think UCF has the tools to get the job done at the betting window this weekend.
College Football Week 9 Prediction: UCF -10.5
