Gophers at Ohio State

Minnesota may have picked a bad time to face No. 18 Ohio State, as the Gophers travel to Ohio Stadium on Saturday for a Noon ET kickoff with the Buckeyes.

Ohio State is 5-2 on the season and against the spread this year, but is coming off an embarrassing 26-18 loss to Purdue where Ohio State had five turnovers in the game. Terrelle Pryor has come under scrutiny for his play, as he threw three two interceptions and lost two fumbles in the game while leading the Ohio State offense to just 287 yards. On the seas, Pryor has 1,169 yards passing with 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions while rushing for 367 yards and four scores. Ohio State rebounded from its two losses last season with wins by at least 18 points and after losing to USC by three points this year, the Buckeyes answered with a 38-0 domination of Toledo. Ohio State is 18-1 at home against Minnesota since 1965 and the Buckeyes defense is holding opponents to 14 points and 284 yards per-game this season.

Minnesota has been a hot-and-cold team all year, going 4-3 overall and 3-4 against the spread. Last week the Gophers lost 20-0 to Penn State, and the Gophers were held to just 138 yards of offense and 37 yards rushing as a team. Adam Weber has thrown for 1,325 yards on the year but has nine interceptions and just six touchdowns. Eric Decker has been the lone bright spot on offense, as he has caught 47 passes for 731 yards and five touchdowns. On defense, Minnesota is allowing 23.3 points and 393 yards per-game, including a total of 1,661 yards through, which is the most in the Big Ten.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Ohio State 16.5-point home favorites over Minnesota on Saturday afternoon. The over/under total for this game has been established at 43.5.
