Updated BCS Championship Odds
(TheSpread) – The initial BCS Rankings came out this past weekend. Here is a new look at the odds to win the 2014 BCS Championship.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, both Alabama and Oregon are the favorites to win the BCS Championship, as each has 8/5 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Florida State (3/1) and Baylor (6/1).
Alabama is No. 1 in the BCS rankings and the two-time defending champs. Alabama is currently 7-0 on the season and 4-0 in the SEC. The Crimson Tide could likely get into the title game, even with a loss, as long as it wins the SEC.
Oregon is No. 3 in the rankings and ranked second in the AP and USA Today polls. The Ducks are 7-0 on the season and 4-0 in the Pac-12. Oregon played in the BCS Championship game three seasons ago.
Florida State is the No. 2 team in the BCS rankings and No. 3 in both top 25 polls. The Seminoles are 6-0 on the season and off to a 4-0 start in ACC play.
Baylor is No. 8 team in the BCS rankings and they are sixth in the AP poll and fifth in the USA Today poll. Baylor is 6-0 on the season and 3-0 in the Big 12. The Bears have been an offensive juggernaut this year, leading the nation in many offensive categories.
