Washington gets back on track
Washington bounced back from a loss at Stanford two weeks ago by picking up a 51-27 win at Arizona last weekend. The Huskies are now 5-2 on the season, 2-2 in the Pac-12, 5-2 against the spread and 4-3 with the over.
The Huskies are right near the middle of the rankings in both offense and defense this year. The Washington offense is averaging 36.4 points and 423.6 yards per game while the defense is giving up 19.6 points and 363.6 yards per game. Jacob Eason has thrown for 1,692 yards and 13 touchdowns to lead the team while Salvon Ahmed has rushed for 522 yards and six scores. Aaron Fuller is the leading receiver with 40 catches for 558 yards and five touchdowns.
Ducks dominating on defense
Oregon is riding a five-game winning streak right now following a 45-3 win at home over Colorado. The Ducks are now 5-1 on the season, 3-0 in the Pac-12, 3-3 against the spread and 5-1 with the under.
The Ducks are playing very well defensively, giving up just 8.7 points and 267.7 yards per game in 2019. Offensively, Oregon is putting up 36 points and 461 yards per contest. Jevon Holland has been leading the Oregon defense with 24 tackles and three interceptions. Justin Herbert is leading the offense with 1,602 passing yards and 17 touchdowns while CJ Verdell has rushed for 448 yards and two scores. Jacob Breeland is the leading receiver with 26 catches for 405 yards and six scores.
College Football Betting Trends
Washington
The Huskies have covered the spread in four straight against winning teams, but are just 4-9 ATS in their last 13 Pac-12 games.
Oregon
The Ducks are just 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 road games and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games in October.
Prediction:
Oregon has managed to cover the spread in six of their last eight against Washington. I feel like the Ducks are a better version of what Washington was supposed to be. The Huskies were expected to have a solid offense with a dominant defense, but that has been Oregon’s recipe this year. The Ducks have absolutely locked up opponents and Washington shouldn’t be much different. The Huskies have struggled with other physical defenses this year. I think Washington will make Oregon have to earn its points, but the Ducks should still be able to score enough to cover, as I don’t see Washington putting up much more than 14 points.
