FORT WORTH, TX (The Spread) – No. 18 Texas Tech hopes to build off its big win last week on Saturday when it heads to TCU at 3:30PM ET on ABC.

Texas Tech is 5-1 overall, 2-1 in the Big 12 and 2-0 on the road. TCU is 5-1 overall, 2-1 in conference play and 2-1 at home. The Red Raiders are 5-1 against the spread this year while the Horned Frogs are 3-3 ATS. These two teams have split their only two meetings since 2000.

Texas Tech is coming off an impressive 49-14 win over West Virginia at home last week. It was the first loss for the Mountaineers, as the Red Raiders held their explosive offense to just 408 yards, which is a far cry from what they had done all year. In contrast, Texas Tech posted 676 total yards against WVU. Tech is averaging 40.7 points per game this year on offense while only giving up 16.3 points per game defensively. Quarterback Seth Doege has thrown for 1,891 yards and 21 touchdowns this season to lead the team.

TCU is coming off a 49-21 win at Baylor last week. The Horned Frogs are holding opponents to just 14.5 points per game this year on defense, while the offense is scoring 33.2 points per game. TCU is still dealing with the loss of starting quarterback Casey Pachall, who left the team a few weeks ago to seek drug treatment following a DWI arrest. In his place, Trevone Boykin has thrown for 605 yards and six touchdowns.
