The Boilermakers are struggling on defense this year, allowing 29.8 points and 444.5 yards per game. Offensively, Purdue has been able to put up 27.3 points and 388.5 yards per outing. The team has been without Elijah Sindelar at QB due to a collarbone injury. Jack Plummer has replaced him and thrown for 965 yards and seven touchdowns this year. Explosive receiver Rondale Moore has also been out with an injury, leaving Purdue shorthanded at the position. David Bell is the leading receiver with 26 catches for 438 yards while King Doerue is the leading rusher with just 226 yards and three scores.
Iowa drops back-to-back games

College Football Betting Trends
Purdue
The Boilermakers are 15-7 against the spread in their last 22 road games, but 0-4 ATS in their last four following a win.
Iowa
The Hawkeyes are just 2-6 against the spread in their last eight conference games, but 4-1 ATS in their last five against a losing team.
Prediction:
Purdue has actually won the last two meetings with Iowa and covered the spread in three of the last four in this series. We know Iowa will be able to limit this Purdue offense, as the Hawkeyes have a great defense and haven’t given up more than 17 points in a single game. The question is, will the Hawkeyes get on track offensively to cover a three-score spread? Iowa is pretty average on offense, but Purdue has given up some points to bad offenses this year. Coming off back-to-back losses to physical opponents, Iowa will be itching to be able to run the ball down the throat of this Purdue team.
