UCLA falls again
The UCLA Bruins took another loss in their last outing, a 48-31 loss at Oregon State on October 5. That dropped UCLA to just 1-5 on the season. The Bruins are 1-2 in the Pac-12, 1-4-1 against the spread and 4-2 with the under
UCLA has struggled on defense all season, allowing 37.7 points and 503.3 yards per game. Offensively, UCLA is putting up 26.2 points and 393.7 yards per contest. Dorian Thompson-Robinson has been leading the team with 1,243 passing yards and 11 touchdowns while rushing for a pair of scores as well. He is listed as questionable to play on Thursday due to an ankle injury. Joshua Kelley is leading the way with 395 rushing yards and three touchdowns while Demetric Felton has 307 yards on the ground. Felton is also the leading receiver with 31 catches for 397 yards and three touchdowns.
Stanford picking up steam
The Cardinal have won two straight, including an upset of Washington at home two weeks ago. Stanford is now 3-3 on the season, 2-2 in the Pac-12, 2-4 against the spread and 3-3 with the over/under total.
Stanford has not been anything special on either side of the ball this year. The Cardinal are giving up 26.5 points and 393.7 yards per game on defense while putting up 20.7 points and 353 yards per game on offense. KJ Costello has missed a lot of time under center due to injury, but early reports have him suiting up this Thursday. He has thrown for 47 1yards and two touchdowns. Davis Mills will go if Costello can’t. Mills has thrown or 890 yards and five touchdowns. Cameron Scarlett has rushed for 564 yards and two touchdowns while Michael Wilson has caught 25 passes for 317 yards and three touchdowns.
College Football Betting Trends
UCLA
The Bruins are 5-2 with the under in their last seven road games, but 4-1 with the over in their last five conference games.
Stanford
The Cardinal are 6-1 with the over in their last seven against a losing team and 5-1 with the over in their last six games following a win.
Prediction:
These two have hit the over in three of their last four meetings. On paper, Stanford isn’t an offense you would expect a lot of offense from. However, UCLA has a defense that has given up a lot of points. Stanford did manage to put up 31 points at Oregon State, 27 at UCF and also had 23 against a good Washington team at home. I think the Cardinal will see an offensive explosion against this bad defense that will lead to an over. The Bruins can add a few touchdowns of their own.
