Updated BCS Champion Odds
(The Spread) – The 2012 College Football Season had a number of unbeatens fall again this past weekend. Here is a look at the updated odds to win the BCS National Championship after Week 7.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Alabama is still the clear favorite to win it all, as they have 6/5 odds to win the title. Other short odds to win are Oregon (7/2), Florida (8/1) and USC (10/1).
Alabama is still the top-ranked team in the country and on top of the initial BCS Rankings with a 6-0 ranking. The Tide is coming off another manhandling of an opponent, as they beat Missouri, 42-10 on the road last Saturday. Alabama heads to Tennessee this week.
Oregon is No. 2 in the AP Poll and third in the BCS. The Ducks are 6-0 overall. Oregon had this past week off and is coming off a 52-21 win over Washington two weeks ago. The Ducks will play on Thursday this week, heading to Arizona State.
Florida is third in the AP poll and No. 2 in the BCS rankings. The Gators are 6-0 overall and coming off a 31-17 win at Vanderbilt last week. Florida has a tough matchup this week, as they head to South Carolina on Saturday.
USC is only 11th in the AP Poll and 10th in the BCS rankings. The Trojans actually have a loss and are 5-1 on the season. They are coming off a 24-14 win at Washington last Saturday and will host Colorado this week. USC’s one loss came against Stanford, 21-14, but the Trojans have a chance to beat some top 5 teams before the season ends.
