Georgia still unbeaten
Georgia got an early scare from Tennessee last weekend, but pulled away in the end and got a 43-14 victory over the Vols. The Bulldogs are 5-0 on the season, 2-0 in the SEC, 3-2 against the spread and 3-2 with the under.
The Georgia offense is averaging 42.8 points and 512.6 yards per game this year while the defense is allowing 10.8 points and 278.6 yards per game. Both the offense and defense rank 11th nationally in total offense/defense. Jake Fromm is leading the offense with 1,076 yards and eight touchdowns while D’Andre Swift is the leading rusher with 460 yards and four touchdowns. Lawrence Cager is the top receiver with 15 catches for 197 yards and three scores. Six different receivers each have over 115 yards.
South Carolina struggling in SEC
South Carolina was able to grab its first SEC win last weekend, besting Kentucky 24-7 at home. The Gamecocks are now 2-3 on the season, 1-2 in the SEC, 3-2 against the spread and 3-2 with the under.
The Gamecocks are putting up 30.6 points and 432.4 yards per game this year on offense while giving up 24.4 points and 390.8 yards per game on defense. Ryan Hilinski has thrown for 912 yards and five touchdowns to lead the offense. Bryan Edwards is the leading receiver with 27 catches for 348 yards and three touchdowns. Rico Dowdle is the team’s leading rusher with 370 yards and four scores.
College Football Betting Trends
Georgia
The Bulldogs have hit the over in four straight against a losing team, but 23-9-2 with the under in their last 34 home games.
South Carolina
The Gamecocks are 9-3 with the under in their last 12 road games and 8-3 with the under in their last 11 road games against a team with a winning home record.
Prediction:
These two have trended with the over, hitting it in five of their last six meetings. The total is pretty tame for this Georgia team that has scored at least 43 points in three of their last four games. I would expect the Bulldogs to be able to find points without much difficult, as South Carolina isn’t anything special on defense, especially on the road. Bama put up 47 at South Carolina, so I am sure the Bulldogs feel they have to do something similar at home. The Gamecocks are likely to find some points as well. Georgia did give up 14 to the Vols last week and 17 to Murray State at home.
