USC vs. Stanford Odds
After dropping out of the top 25, USC looks to get back in when it takes on No. 16 Stanford in Week 6 of the 2010 College Football Season.
Both teams are 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the Pac-10 as they each lost last weekend. The game will take place at 8PM ET from Stanford Stadium.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook BroburySports.com have made Stanford a 10-point favorite at home against the Trojans. The over/under has been set at 59.
The opening spread for this game had Stanford as an 8-point favorite. The odds have slowly moved up and are now at 10. The over/under started at 59.5 and is now down to 59 points.
Stanford is coming off a 52-31 loss to Oregon last weekend. The Cardinal gave up 626 yards of offense, including nearly 400 yards rushing in the loss. Still, for the season the Cardinal is giving up just 332 yards of offense per game and holding opponents to 163 yards passing per contest. The offense hasn’t had much difficulty scoring as they have scored at least 31 points in all five games. Andrew Luck has thrown for 1,253 yards and 13 touchdowns while Stepfan Taylor has 378 rushing yards and two scores.
USC is an underwhelming 4-1 this season as they have not looked like the Trojans of old, winning three games by 13 points or less despite not yet facing a ranked opponent. USC is racking up 471.6 yards of offense per game, but allowing 419 and nearly 300 yards passing per game. Matt Barkley has thrown for 1,127 yards and 12 touchdowns on the year while Allen Bradford has rushed for 500 yards and three touchdowns.
The trends seem to favor Stanford as the Cardinal is 12-3 against the spread in their last 15 games at home and 7-2 ATS in their last nine after failing to cover the week before. USC is just 1-8 ATS in their last nine games on grass and 3-11 ATS in their last 14 conference games.
Stanford running back Jeremy Stewart is listed as probable with an ankle injury while defensive end Richard Sherman is questionable with an undisclosed injury. For USC, running back Allen Bradford is listed as probable with a back injury while defensive end Wes Horton is questionable with a back injury.
Just under 8,000 bets have been made in this game and Stanford is getting 76% of the best -10 against USC on Saturday.
