(The Spread) – Boise State has switched conferences but will its dominance over Fresno State continue?
Oddsmakers currently list the visiting Broncos as 20.5-point favorites over the host Bulldogs for tonight’s Week 6 matchup on ESPN. The spread is actually up to 21 points at the Las Vegas Hilton and some offshore books, while the over/under total is back to 58.5 after climbing to 59 earlier this week.
The No. 6 Broncos enter tonight’s game with a perfect 4-0 record but they’re just 2-2 against the spread this season. They covered against Georgia (-3) and Toledo (-20.5) earlier this year but failed to do so against Tulsa (-27.5) and Nevada (-27.5) the past two weeks. The under has also covered in three-straight Boise games since the over hit in the Broncos’ 35-21 win over Georgina in Week 1.

As for Fresno, the Bulldogs enter tonight’s game with a 2-3 overall record and are just 2-2 against the number in lined FBS games. They failed to cover against Cal (+10.5) and Ole Miss (-3.5), but did cover against Nebraska (+28) and Idaho (-3). The over has hit in all four of Fresno’s FBS games this season.
According to latest college football trends, the Broncos are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games against the Bulldogs and 4-1 in their last five road games against Fresno State. The favorite is also 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings between these two teams but the home team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings.
Kickoff for this Week 6 matchup is set for 9:00PM ET and the game can be seen on ESPN.
