Nebraska is coming off a 48-17 loss to Wisconsin last week. The Cornhuskers are typically known for defense, but they allowed 486 total yards from the Badgers, including 231 rushing yards. On offense, Nebraska had 335 total yards and 159 rushing yards. Taylor Martinez threw for 176 yards with three interceptions while rushing for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Ohio State is coming off a 10-7 loss at home to Michigan State. The Buckeyes have been really struggling on offense, averaging just 23.8 points per game while throwing for just 154 yards per game, which ranks 111th nationally. In last week’s loss, Ohio State was held to 178 total yards of offense and 35 yard rushing. Freshman quarterback Braxton Miller threw for just 56 yards on 5-of-10 passing and was ultimately replaced in the game. Defensively, Ohio State held MSU to 321 total yards and forced three turnovers.
In terms of Injuries, Ohio State will again be without running back Dan Herron and receiver DeVier Posey as both are suspended for another week. Nebraska offensive lineman Jake Cotton is out with a knee injury.
