Oregon dominates Cal

Oregon was a 5.5-point underdog at home against Cal on Saturday according to online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com. Instead what happened was the Ducks dismantling the Golden Bears. Jahvid Best never got on track and the Cal defense couldn’t stop Jeremiah Masoli as the Ducks rolled to a 42-3 win over the Bears. 77 percent of public bets took Cal with the points and had to be disappointed with what they saw.

Hokies hold down Miami

Miami was a 3-point road favorite against Virginia Tech on Saturday in a battle to two top-15 programs. 71 percent of public bets liked the Hurricanes to cover against the Hokies, who have struggled offensively this season. But, the Virginia Tech defense contained Miami all day and the Hokies had a special teams touchdown to lift them to a 31-7 win.

Wildcats stun the betting public

In a game that may have went under the national radar, Arizona defeated Oregon State 37-32 on Saturday night. The Wildcats were getting 3 points on the road against the Beavers and 85 percent of public bets went with Oregon State. The Wildcats controlled most of the game and held off a late surge by Oregon State to get the win.

Tide roll past Razorbacks.

In a mild upset in the minds of the betters, Alabama defeated Arkansas 35-7 on Saturday. The Tide were favored by 17.5 points at home and 59 percent of public bets when with the Razorbacks. This game was one of the highest-bet games of the weekend, and the majority of betters went home unhappy as the Crimson Tide defense kept Ryan Mallett in check and didn’t allow the Arkansas offense to get rolling.
