STANFORD: The Cardinal is off to a perfect 3-0 start both against the spread and straight up. The team covered as a favorite in all three games, with its most recent victory coming in comeback fashion versus UCLA last Saturday night. JJ Arcega-Whiteside caught an 8-yard touchdown pass in the end zone from Ryan Burns to give Stanford a 16-13 lead in the final minute of the game, then Solomon Thomas scooped up a fumble in the closing seconds and returned in 42 yards for the final nail in the coffin.
WASHINGTON: The Huskies received a scare last week at Arizona, but managed a 35-28 victory on the road to stay unbeaten on the year. Washington is now 4-0, with wins over Rutgers, Idaho, Portland State and Arizona, although the Huskies have now failed to cover in back-to-back games as sizable favorites (-42.5 versus Portland State and -16 against the Wildcats last weekend).
