Ohio State has been challenged at home the last few weeks, beating Cal 35-28 two weeks ago and beating UAB 29-15 last week. The Buckeyes have yet to go on the road, so it is hard to know just what to expect. So far, Ohio State is giving up only 17.3 points per game on defense while scoring 37.8 points per game on offense. Michigan State is 3-1 but coming off a pair of shaky performances. The Spartans lost, 20-3, to Notre Dame two weeks ago and then struggled mightily in a 23-7 win over Eastern Michigan last week. The issue for MSU has not been defense, which is giving up just 11.8 points per game (11th nationally). The issue is on offense, where the Spartans rank 104th in scoring at 21 points per game. The team is being led by junior running back Le’Veon Bell, who has 610 rushing yards and five scores, but has done so on 117 carries.
