WSU at USC

After an embarrassing loss, No. 12 USC is looking to put a beating on someone and that unlucky team is Washington State, who the Trojans host Saturday at 10:15PM ET from LA Memorial Coliseum.

Bet Washington State at USC

The Trojans were upset last week by Washington, 16-13 on the road, and now the Trojans national title hopes are in jeopardy. USC was without starting quarterback Matt Barkley last week, but he is back this week to face the Cougars. Barkley has thrown for 428 yards and one touchdown in two games, including an 18-15 win at Ohio State. The key for the Trojans this year has been in the running game, where Joe McKnight has 305 yards on the ground with three touchdowns. Stafon Johnson has also tallied 141 yards with four touchdowns on the year. Defensively, the Trojans rank second in the PAC 10 in points allowed, total yards allowed, and rushing yards allowed.

Washington State has struggled to a 1-2 record in 2009 under second-year coach Paul Wulff. The Cougars got their first win last week against Southern Methodist, 30-27. Quarterback time has been split by Marshall Lobbestael and Kevin Lopina, who have both thrown more interceptions than touchdowns on the season. James Montgomery leads the rushing attack with 167 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, the Cougars rank last in the conference in points allowed, total yards allowed, passing yards allowed, and rushing yards allowed.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made USC 45-point home favorites over Washington State on Saturday night. The over/under total for this game has been established at 52.5.
