Alabama is 3-0 to start the year with a 34-24 win over Virginia Tech in the season opener. Since, the Tide have rolled past Florida International and North Texas by a combined score of 93-21. Greg McElroy has thrown for 647 yards on 46-of-69 passing with four touchdowns and one interception. Mark Ingram has rushed for 297 yards and three scores thus far while Trent Richardson has 215 yards on the ground. Julio Jones has been dealing with a leg injury and only has five catches on the season, but the tandem of Mike McCoy, Ingram, and Maquis Maze have each had over 100 yards receiving on the season. Defensively, Alabama ranks first in the SEC for total yards allowed, holding opponents to just 185 yards per-game. The Tide have allowed just 126 yards rushing total for their three games.

While Alabama is tops in defense in the SEC, Arkansas is among the worst, allowing 367.5 yards and 31 points per-game, only bettering Georgia in both categories. The Razorbacks have played just two games, beating Missouri State 48-10 while losing to the Bulldogs 52-41 last week. Georgia racked up 530 yards on Arkansas last week, including 375 yards from Joe Cox. One bright spot for Arkansas has been quarterback Ryan Mallett, who has thrown for 717 yards and six touchdowns in two games. Mallett has also not thrown an interception. Jarius Wright has caught 10 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown this season as well. The Razorbacks also have had solid special teams play as Dennis Johnson and Cobi Hamilton each have return averages over 35 yards.

Oddsmakers from online sports book BetOnline have made Alabama 17.5-point home favorites over Arkansas on Saturday afternoon. The over/under total for this game has been established at 57.
