Alabama ranks first in the SEC for total yards allowed, holding opponents to just 185 yards per-game. The Tide have allowed just 126 yards rushing total for their three games.
While Alabama is tops in defense in the SEC, Arkansas is among the worst, allowing 367.5 yards and 31 points per-game, only bettering Georgia in both categories. The Razorbacks have played just two games, beating
MissouriState 48-10 while losing to the Bulldogs 52-41 last week.
Georgia racked up 530 yards on
Arkansas last week, including 375 yards from Joe Cox. One bright spot for
Arkansas has been quarterback Ryan Mallett, who has thrown for 717 yards and six touchdowns in two games. Mallett has also not thrown an interception. Jarius Wright has caught 10 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown this season as well. The Razorbacks also have had solid special teams play as Dennis Johnson and Cobi Hamilton each have return averages over 35 yards.
