One week after being shut out 65-0 by Florida, Eastern Michigan was held to just a lone field goal in a 17-3 loss to Old Dominion last Saturday. As the final score would indicate, the Eagles struggled offensively as Brogan Roback and Rob Bolden combined for 12-of-24 passing for 72 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions. Bronson Hill did rush for 78 yards on 16 carries but was held out of the end zone as the Eagles fell to 1-2 on the year.
The Spartans have had two weeks to digest their 46-27 loss to Oregon and will look to avoid back-to-back letdowns versus Eastern Michigan today and Wyoming a week from now. After the date with Wyoming, MSU will open its Big Ten schedule with a home game versus Nebraska before hitting the road for back-to-back games versus Purdue and Indiana in the middle of October.
