TCU Rolling

No. 15 TCU has yet to be challenged so far this season, and when the Horned Frogs host Texas State Saturday at 7PM ET from Amon G. Carter Stadium, it shouldn’t be a challenge either.

The Horned Frogs defeated a down Virginia team 30-14 last weekend to open their season. TCU dominated Virginia on defense, holding the Cavaliers to 177 yards of offense. The Horned Frogs forced two turnovers and had eight sacks in the win. TCU actually led 30-0 but allowed a few late scores. Ross Evans kicked three field goals in the win while Andy Dalton threw for 177 yards and a touchdown. TCU rushed for over 200 yards as a team, but spread the wealth amongst nine ball carriers. Joseph Turner led the Frogs in rushing with 66 yards and a score on 10 carries. The Horned Frogs are looking for their sixth 10-win season under coach Gary Patterson this season.

Texas State defeated Angelo State 48-28 in its season opener two weeks ago. Bradley George threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns in the game while Alvaro Garcia caught two passes for 89 yards.
